What is a Professional Land Surveyor? |

A Professional Land Surveyor is a person who either by experience, education or a combination of the two has become licensed to survey property. They have usually become registered by passing a series of state and national examinations. Only a Professional Land Surveyor registered by the state is legally permitted to perform land surveys. Professional Land Surveyors are also required by law to engage in continuing education courses to maintain the validity of their license.
