Boundary Survey

A boundary survey is the process of determining the physical limits of your property. The process is briefly described below:

  • Research the subject property in the town or city hall and registry of deeds if appropriate. This includes procuring copies of the locus and abutting deeds and any recorded plans pertaining to the property.

  • Reconnaissance of the subject property for existing monumentation.

  • Location of existing monumentation using a “total station” edm and/or GPS equipment where appropriate.

  • Calculation of property lines based upon research and monumentation found.

  • Monumentation of property corners and/or lines as needed.

  • Preparation of a survey plan showing existing and set monuments and structures with sufficient information to reproduce the survey on the ground if monuments are lost.
